Imo Elections: PDP Chieftain tips APC's Hope Uzodinma to defeat party candidate

Businessman and politician, Arc Uche Rochas has tipped Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma to win a second term as he seeks re-election on Saturday, November 11.

The governor from the ruling All Progress Party (APC) will contest Labour Party Governorship candidate Senator Athan Achonu and Senators Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Rochas shared photos of Hope Uzodinma on X as a confirmation of his choice in the polls. He also shared photos of Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State and incumbent PDP Governor Douye Diri.

He captioned the photo: "As simple as ABC".

Meanwhile, the candidates of the LP and PDP have staged a walkout at a stakeholders’ meeting organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The candidates had registered their grievance to the electoral body to press home their demand for the redeployment of the state Resident Electoral (REC), Professor Sylva Agu.

Tuesday’s meeting was part of INEC’s interactions with the governorship candidates, security agencies, the media, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders ahead of the November 11 poll.

The INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu was represented by the National Commissioner representing South-east, Kenneth Ukeagu.
