I haven't collected a dime - Reno Omokri reveals the real reason he supports President Tinubu

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide, reiterated that he has not collected a dime to support the Bola Tinubu administration.

The chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who has publicly thrown his weight behind this administration said he supports the opposition partly because of Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser to the President who he described as his brother.

Omokri who campaigned vigorously against the emergence of another APC government said his relationship with Nuhu Ribadu is the reason he is backing this government to succeed.

He made this known when he appeared on the latest episode of Mic On, a podcast hosted by Channels TV, Seun Okibaloye.

"I haven't collected a dime from the Bola Tinubu administration and I won't collect a dime from this administration at all. I do have a brother in this administration, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and we are close and so close even before he joined this administration. We spent time together in Califonia over a decade ago," he said.

When asked if the National Security Adviser convinced him to work with this administration, he wrote: "I wouldn't say that he reached me and convinced me to work for this government. I don't work for this government, however, when he was appointed as a National Security Adviser, I did say publicly that as long as Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is in this administration, I will give Nigeria all my all. I said that publicly and I did not hide that. Nuhu Ribadu is not the kind of person that will give anybody a dime," he concluded.
