I have forgiven those who defamed me. I beg your forgiveness too - Gov Ganduje

Kano state Governor, Umar Ganduje has begged for forgiveness from people who he may have offended during his time in office.

According to him, he has also forgiven anyone who may have offended his person or character.

He said this in a statement released by the state’s commissioner for information and internal affairs, Muhammad Garba.

Ganduje who is a two-term governor and whose tenure will end on May 29, made this known in his Eid-el-Fitr message on Friday, April 21.

He noted that he is not holding grudges against anyone, that may have disparaged his character.

“I’ve forgiven anyone who at one time disparaged my person and my character for whatever reasons, and on my part, I equally beg or seek for your forgiveness for all that I’ve done wrong to you. For those who we have wronged, forgive us, on my part, I’ve forgiven those who wronged me no matter the weight of the offence,” the statement said.
