Ganduje emerges APC National Chairman, Basiru as scribe

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Thursday, elected former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, as the National Chairman of the party.

The party’s NEC also elected former Senate spokesman, Ajibola Basiru as National Secretary.

The two offices became vacat after the ouster in July of Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore who were former National Chairman and Secretary of the party respectively.

The ouster of the duo had been speculated days before it came to reality.

The reason for their ouster has not bee given but party members believed it had to do with the poor outing of the party during the 2023 general elections.
