The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has taken a swipe at some leaders of the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for supporting Rivers Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

His comment comes after PDP leaders in Rivers State, Abiye Sekibo; ex-PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus; ex-governorship aspirant, Celestine Omehia; and ex-lawmaker, Austin Opara declared support for Fubara while cautioning Wike.

In a chat with the press on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in Abuja, Wike described them as expired politicians who are not worthy to be called statesmen.

According to the immediate ex-Governor of Rivers State, they are irrelevant following his decision to kick them out of PDP.

Wike claimed that Secondus was no longer a member of the PDP and that his suspension was authorized by the court.

Wike and Fubara continue to be at loggerheads with each other despite several interventions.
