The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Tonye Cole has called out a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike for anti-party behaviors.

Cole who lost the governorship race in the state to Wike's anointed candidate Sims Fubara also noted that the Rivers State governor must decide if he wants to join the opposition party and stop the public courting of the party.

He made this known in an interview on Channel TV on Tuesday, March 28 in Abuja. According to him, Wike can join the party if he wants to but must do so through the front door.

"First, we are a party, we are APC and we worked for our presidential candidate as a party. We never stood for anti-party activities. He on the other hand has been very anti-party. He has been antiparty to PDP, and he is been openly courting APC. But for us, we stood were we are and we continue doing that."

I have said publicly that he needed to come in through the front door and not the back door if he wants to come to the APC. But all that is in the past now. We move forward."

The leadership of the party has since accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies of conniving with Governor Nyesom Wike to rig the March 18 Governorship and State House of Assembly Election in the State.

The Party noted that the Governorship election and State Assembly election was characterized by widespread violence which led to the loss of lives.

APC Spokesman in Rivers State, Darlington Nwauju at a press briefing in Port Harcourt alleged that four APC members were killed in Ahoada West Local Government Area with two persons still missing.

Nwauju wondered why the police are yet to commission an investigation into all the killings that took place in the state with a view to bringing perpetrators to book.
