CSU Saga: Focus on national interest not personal vendetta - APC chieftain jabs Atiku

Bola Ahmed Tinubu & Atiku Abubakar Bola Ahmed Tinubu & Atiku Abubakar

The General Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Germany chapter, Dr. Engr. Ibrahim Muritala has described the decision by Atiku Abubakar to go after the academic records of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an attempt to create a hostile political environment in the country.

Dr. Muritala allegations comes against the backdrop of Atiku Abubakar 's forgery claims of the president's certificate obtained from the Chicago State University.

The former vice president, who was the Presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25 polls wants the president removed.

Reacting to the development, Dr. Muritala stated that Atiku Abubakar should focus on national development instead of settling personal scores with Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He also hailed the president as a competent leader with integrity and a true democrat.

“Asiwaju is one of the advocates and true democrat of the modern-day democracy of Nigeria.

“He is competent, he has demonstrated leadership with integrity, and dedication to public service, which is the primary business.

“Atiku should be warned by his PDP and his allies in the opposition that his strategy to discredit a candidate would continue to create a hostile political environment rather than focusing on policy debates and unity for the sake of national interest."
