A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Anene Chikezie has urged any disgruntled member of any political party who is not satisfied with the result of the just-ended election in Anambra to go to court if they believe they have a case.

Mr. Chikezie made the statement in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu after the conclusion of the polls.

“If any candidate is not satisfied with the conduct of the election, the person can go to court.

“There is no need calling for the cancellation of the result because the masses have spoken,” Anene said.

The APC Chieftain also lauded the Federal Government for providing a level playing field for Saturday's polls in Anambra.

According to him, the measures put in place by the Federal Government made the election a huge success and violent-free adding that no life was lost despite the tension that surrounded the polls.

“I am impressed that the Federal Government did not interfere in the process in favor of the ruling party’s candidate but allowed the will of the people to prevail.

Anene commended the Anambra people for coming out en mass to vote without violence and described the election as ‘peaceful and fair’.

He said the Independent National Electoral Commission did its best, in spite of the BVAS malfunctioning, reports.

“There is need for its improvement because a lot of people were disenfranchised during the poll."
