At Peter Obi's polling unit, tensions rose when some individuals insisted that certain voters should not be allowed to vote because they had not cast their ballots at that PU during the 2021 election.
They demanded that these voters be denied access to the voting process.
Peter Obi, a presidential hopeful and former governor of Anambra State, was present at the scene.
Presiding Officers (POs) stated that they had received only one copy of the voter register and, therefore, had no additional copy to display for voters to verify their names.
Compounding the situation, there was no security presence to help maintain order or calm the growing unrest.
