Adopt Nasarawa model of elections - FG to states

The Federal Government (FG) has commended the recently completed state Assembly's by-election held in Nasarawa State, challenging the electoral body of other states to emulate them.

Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, who also showered praises on the Nasarawa state government for the laudable compliance with the coronavirus protocols during the exercise advised other states to learn from what he described as "the Nasarawa state model”.

He made the statement after an interaction with the Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in Abuja.

Boss Mustapha further described Sule’s leadership style in Nasarawa as exemplary, innovative, full of ideas and a space where promises are made and kept. He also commended the peace-building role of Governor Sule in Nasarawa state and in resolving crises between neighbouring states of Benue and Taraba.

In his remarks, the Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule thanked the FG for its support to the State especially in its fight against insecurity and the Coronavirus pandemic.
