The ruling by the Court of Appeal in Owerri to sack Julius Abure as Labour Party National Chairman on Thursday, August 24 has been greeted with discontentment by some faction within the party.

In the same judgment, the court recognised Lamidi Apapa as the National Chairman of the party.

Also, the court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately recognise and publish the names of all the governorship candidates produced by the Apapa-led National Working Committee (NWC) in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi states.

The decision by the court was greeted with mayhem as the two Labour Party factions clashed following the ruling.

In the latest development, some members belonging to the Julius Abure-led faction claim President Bola Tinubu is secretly behind the Apapa Group in his bid to halt the progress of the party.

_@bolasalak7360 said, “I have advocated and still saying that Ecological fund should adopt the Tetfund template as against the current father Christmas approach. With that template no state can collect any fund without properly accounted for it. Failure to account for previous fund will automatically debar such state from accessing future fund.

_@user-ze8ib1sv6b wrote“This Lamidi Apapa is an irritant and enemy of Nigeria. He should be called to order and his case should be thrown out of court. It’s obvious he’s been sponsored by Tinubu to disrupt the progress of the Labor Party.”

_@aaliwinni9959 teased, “Obingos will soon shift blame on APC ????????????????????”

_@digitalitytech3568 wrote, “Court judgments cannot be interpreted based on assumptions no matter how technical it sounds. Abure is still the authentic chairman.”
