APC to influence President Tinubu's ministerial appointment? NWC reacts

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) has reacted to the viral report that the ruling party will influence the ministerial list of President Bola Tinubu.

According to The Punch, the NWC of the APC said the party would not be about to influence the President's ministerial nominees' list.

Bala Ibrahim and Nze Chidi Duru, the Director of Publicity for the party and the APC Deputy National Organising Secretary, disclosed the position of the party in a separate statement.

Duru on his part noted that President Tinubu out reached out to the party for the ministerial nominees but that was not necessary.

His statement reads in part: “It is the prerogative of the man himself and that may include involving the party, which is expected. But as of now, I am not aware of any nomination list emanating from the party."

The APC national organizing secretary said he agreed with the tradition that the party should call for ministerial nominees but that was not cast on the stone.
