APC suspends Kogi guber campaign after member was killed by thugs

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo has sympathized with the family of Ms Khadijat Yahaya, a member of the party who was killed after an attack by suspected thugs.

Ododo, during a visit to the family in Kotonkarfe, expressed shock at her demise and prayed to God for the repose of her soul.

The party has suspended its campaign for the Kogi elections scheduled for November 11 as a show of respect.

Khadijat is alleged to have died after an attack by suspected thugs.

The suspension of its campaign was made public by Mr Kingsley Fanwo, the spokesperson for the State Campaign Council in a statement on Tuesday, October 3.

He revealed that the late Khadijat allegedly lost her life after a clash between supporters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and those of the APC in Kotonkarfe on Sept. 29.
