As the 2023 election approaches, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been hit with a massive defection. This is coming after the party suspended its campaign activities.

According to AIT news, over 3,500 former APC members declared their interest to join the opposition platform during a rally in Ondo state on Tuesday, September 27.

Among the defectors is the immediate past commissioner for water resources in the state, Yetunde Adeyanju, who was the leader of the Women’s Group for Governor Akeredolu’s re-election campaign in 2016.

On Tuesday, the former APC member revealed that all is not well in the APC hence her reason to defect to the PDP.

The PDP's chairman in Ondo, Fatai Adams, the governorship candidate of PDP in Ogun, Ladi Adebutu, deputy governor-elect of Osun, Kola Adewusi, and former national vice chairman, Eddy Olafeso welcomed her into the party.

The PDP leaders are optimistic of victory in the 2023 general elections.
