2023: 1,500 PDP members join APC

More than 1,500 supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilirowa village, Buji Local Government, Jigawa State.

The decampees were received by Siraja Muhammad Kantoga, the State Assemblymember representing Birnin Kudu constituency while noting that he appreciated their decision to dump the PDP.

The member, who was represented by his co-ordinator, Nura Suleiman Jidawa, assured them of equal treatment like any other member of the party.

He, however, urged them to work hard for the success of the party in the upcoming 2023 general elections.

“Ilirowa village is one of the strongholds of the PDP and with this development, I am sure there will be no more PDP in the area,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Malam Lasisi said that they decided to dump the PDP for the APC based on its good policies and programs for the development of the State and the country, reports Daily Post.
