17 COVID-19 patients recover in Lagos State

At least 17 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered and discharged in Lagos on Wednesday, according to the state's health ministry.

A statement on the ministry's official Twitter account revealed that the patients include six females and 11 males.

"17 #COVID19Lagos patients; 6 females & 11 males, all Nigerians have been discharged from our Yaba, Gbagada & LUTH Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

"The patients; 7 from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 6 from LUTH & 4 from Gbagada Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered & tested negative to #COVID19 in two consecutive readings.

"This brings to 649, the number of discharged cases in Lagos," the statement read.

Lagos State, as of the time of this report, remains the epicentre of the deadly virus in Nigeria with at least 2755 cases of COVID-19.
