Wema Bank: 99 branches to reopen come Monday

99 Wema bank branches are set to reopen come Monday 4th 2020.

In a mail obtained by MyNigeria.com, the branches were scattered across Abuja, Ondo, Ekiti, Ibadan, Uyo, Calabar and Lagos.

According to the lender, services are meant to last 5 hours from 10 am to 2 pm in respect of the gradual easing of the lockdown set to begin Monday, May 4th.

As part of its re-opening schedule, the bank promised to clean and disinfect all premises before opening its doors to the general public.

"We will also maintain a schedule to wipe down common surfaces the virus may exist on such as our ATMs, revolving doors, sitting areas, doorknobs, writing surfaces and pens, amongst others. Our screens will play infomercials on how to protect yourself against catching the virus and other tips for maintaining good hygiene. We hope you learn something helpful," the bank said in a statement.

Appealing to the generality of staff to stay home and utilise its digital channels, it stressed social responsibility.

Customers who would want to come around its premises were advised to wear a face mask. On its part, the lender promised to provide hand sanitizers, and carry out temperature checks at the entrance

It also reminded customers to maintain two metres distancing on the premises.
