WHO reveals origin of coronavirus, says not constructed in a lab

The World Health Organisation, WHO, has said that coronavirus which has become a global pandemic originated from bats in China in 2019.

This comes after claims stated that the virus which has now infected over 2.5 million people worldwide emanated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

WHO spokeswoman, Fadela Chaib stated that the disease didn't emanate from a laboratory and that investigations are currently ongoing to determine how it moved from animal to human.

NewYork post quoted Chaib to have said, “All available evidence suggests the virus has an animal origin and is not manipulated or constructed in a lab or somewhere else. It is probable, likely that the virus is of animal origin.

‘’It is not clear how the virus jumped the species barrier to humans but there had ‘certainly’ been an intermediate animal host,’’ she added.
