Veep Atiku receives Pfizer coronavirus vaccine in Dubai

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has received the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine.

He becomes the first public personality from Nigeria to receive a dose of the vaccine.

Mr. Abubakar was spotted in a trendy image alleged to be Dubai, the United Arab Emirate. The photo according to Within Nigeria was shared by veteran journalist, Dele Momodu.

His spokesperson, Paul Ibe confirmed the reports on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021.

Recall that the 74-year-old had rooted for the vaccine in his new year message which “would soon be available for vaccination in Nigeria” with the hope that “life would return to normal” soon.

“The importance of the #COVID19 vaccine in mitigating the effect of the coronavirus cannot be overstated, particularly in Africa and Nigeria.
