Since the arrival of the coronavirus vaccines into the country, Nigerians have taken to social media to express their thoughts on the latest development.

Nigeria has taken delivery of the 3.92 million doses of the AstraZeneca Oxford coronavirus vaccine.

The first batch of the vaccine landed at the Abuja International Airport, today, March 2, 2021.

This makes Nigeria another West African country to benefit from the COVAX facility after Ghana and Cote d' Ivoire.

Reports earlier indicated that 70 per cent of the country's population will be vaccinated and completed by 2022.

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will take the first jab of the vaccine on Saturday, March 6, 2021.
