American multinational technology company, Google, has revealed a list containing what many Nigerians searched via its search engine while under lockdown.

Recall that on the orders of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Retd.), Abuja, Ogun and Lagos were placed on five-weeks lockdown which ended yesterday, to curb the spread of the deadly COVID-10.

On the scale of one to 20, Nigerians have searched more on "How to make bread?" over the past 30 days.

According to the report "Who is Abba Kyari?" ranks second on the list of top searches, raising questions about how much the Nigerians know about their government.

A statement by the global tech company on Monday stated the top 20 trending questions on Google Search Nigeria over the last 30 days were dominated by food and current affairs questions.

It explained that Nigerians were also asking for information related to the lockdown and coronavirus, as well as more general current affairs topics.

It highlighted the top ten trending questions over the past 30 days as “Who is Abba Kyari? How to prepare hand sanitizer; Where is Buhari? When is school resuming in Nigeria? How to draw; Is there movement in Lagos tomorrow? When is WAEC starting? When is Ramadan 2020 starting? Is there a cure for coronavirus? How to lose weight.”

Google added that the top ten trending food questions over the past 30 days were “How to make bread; How to make pancakes with flour; How to make chinchin; How to make fish roll; How to make eggroll? How to make pizza; How to prepare vegetable soup; How to make cookies; How to make Akara; and How to make Egusi soup.”

The statement said search trends information was gathered from data collated by Google based on what Nigerians had been searching for and asking Google.
