The event with the theme, “Education to protect tomorrow”, was held in commemoration of the 2022 World Diabetes Day which featured medical screening among others.

“A lot of people eat anyhow; we don’t even take into cognizance, what we are to eat and what not to eat.

“There are some foods that elevate blood sugar. Dieting is very vital because if we are able to curtail what we consume, it will prevent us from other complications of Diabetes.”

She advised the public to equally prioritise medical check-ups rather than self-medication to keep fit and know their health status.

She said, “Constant medical check-up is very important because from there you will be able to follow up with your health status.”
