EVACUATION: Nigerians return home from the UK

A number of Nigerians stranded in the United Kingdom due to the coronavirus pandemic have been received by the Federal Government after being evacuated.

The Nigerians arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Friday about 01.43 pm, having left the UK who now holds the record for the highest death rate in Europe with 30,615 at the time of this report.

Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, confirmed their arrival.

She said, “The first evacuation from the Uk has landed in Lagos. The passengers will be proceeding to Abuja where they will be on 14-day compulsory isolation.”
