President of the Economic Freedom Fighters in South Africa, Julius Malema has tasked citizens to be of good character during these trying times of coronavirus infections.

Asking them to cooperate with President Cyril Ramaphosa as well as other health advisories they have been getting, he called upon all South Africans to avoid maximising profit out of the crisis.

He stressed the need for pharmacies and health professionals not to increase the price of face masks, hand sanitizers, and even hospital beds.

Malema noted that thieves have the tendency to steal during panic situations like these. He made instances with President Mandela's funeral and that of his ex-wife, Winnifred.

"We know these corrupt elements steal during funerals and we don't want to see them taking advantage during this disaster. We call upon the President to act decisively against anyone who wants to take advantage of this situation and steal against the poor of the poorest. Avoid going to funerals if you are not a close family relative.

"We call upon church leaders to not allow more than 100 people in churches. The Churches can help us curb these cases, we ask they do not complicate this matters where necessary," he admonished.
