Africa's Richest man, Aliko Dangote has reinforced his decision to combat malaria in Africa.

The founder and chairman of Dangote Group said COVID-19 can make one easily forget the threat malaria poses to public health.

However, he promised to front the cause for malaria by mobilising resources from the private sector and other sectors to help eliminate malaria and address the raging pandemic.

"We have seen malaria prevalence reduce from 42% to 23% between 2010 and 2018, but more needs to be done to achieve Zero Malaria

"We are committed to mobilizing resources both within the private sector and other sectors to help eliminate malaria and address the current COVID-19 pandemic. I call on the private sector, donors, public sector, NGOs and others to redouble their commitments in eliminating malaria," the oil magnate said.
