Coronavirus: No new deaths, as Nigeria records 82 fresh cases

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) said no deaths were recorded from the coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday, November 16. The death toll in Nigeria currently stands at 2,973.

The health agency made this known on its official Facebook page on Wednesday night adding that 82 new cases were recorded across eight states of the federation.

The latest update shows that Nigeria's total case count from the pandemic is 213,403 while a total of 206,245 Nigerians have been discharged nationwide.

According to the data, Rivers State recorded more than half the infections with 52 cases of the total 82.

Kano State in the North-west reported nine cases; Kebbi State, six; while Kaduna and Plateau states recorded five cases each, Premium Times said.

While Enugu State reported three cases, Bauchi and Lagos states recorded one case each.

The NCDC noted that Sokoto State reported no cases on Wednesday.
