Coronavirus: Nigeria records two deaths, 90 fresh cases Monday

Nigeria recorded 90 new cases and two deaths on Monday from the novel coronavirus, the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) said on Monday.

The latest figure takes the number of death to 2,898.

Currently, 212,051 have been affected by the virus while 203,338 Nigerians have been discharged nationwide.

According to the update, Lagos, the epicenter of the virus topped the charts with 33 cases, out of which 22 cases were reported as a backlog for October 31.

The FCT followed with 15 cases; Nasarawa in the North-central, 14 cases while Cross River and Rivers States in the South-south reported 11 cases each, Premium Times reports.

Two northern states Kano and Kaduna recorded three and one cases respectively while Bayelsa recorded two.

The NCDC noted that Delta, Edo, Plateau, and Sokoto States recorded no cases on Monday.
