Coronavirus: Lagos State reveals names of two persons who flew with Italian man

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi has revealed the names of the two persons who had contact with the Italian man who brought coronavirus to Nigeria.

Abayomi who disclosed this on Twitter called on the general public to help with the whereabouts of the two contacts.

He also revealed that the patient in the second case of coronavirus is doing well and will soon be discharged as soon as he eliminates the virus.

He shared: "The index case is doing well. He is still secreting the virus but as soon as he eliminates the virus we will release him. The yet to be reached 2 contacts from the 24th of February, 2020 Turkish flight are; ENWELUNTA GODFREY OBUMNORE and SADEEQ ABIODUN SALAMI (males).

"I appeal to members of the public who know or have any information about these 2 contacts to reach @LSMOH through the State epidemiologist on +234 802 316 9485. This is a matter of national security, @followlasg needs your cooperation on this matter"

This is coming hours after the Minister of Health, Ehanire Osagie, revealed that Nigeria has confirmed a second case of coronavirus which is said to be index and not imported into the country.
