Confirmed cases of coronavirus rise to 97

Eight new cases of coronavirus has been confirmed in Nigeria which draws the total number of confirmed cases to 97.

This was disclosed by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, which revealed that the new cases were confirmed in Oyo, Osun, Kaduna and the FCT.

“Eight new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Nigeria; 2 in FCT, 4 in Oyo, 1 in Kaduna and 1 in Osun State,” NCDC tweeted.

“As at 10:40 pm 28th March there are 97 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria with 1 death.”

Only two deaths have been recorded since the outbreak of the virus in Nigeria. Three people have been discharged so far while six who have recovered from the virus are said to be waiting to be discharged.
