Caging people without food and treatment is slavery- Shehu Sani

Sani Sani

A former lawmaker representing the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani has kicked against the act of caging people without food, adequate care and treatment.

Making recourse to what happened in Gombe State where patients at an isolation centre protested ill-treatment by the state government and lack of food, Sani opined that patients have rights.

He went further to ask the Human Rights Commission to publish a template for the Isolation Centers established in the states.

"I have formally requested that the Human Rights Commission publish a template for the Isolation Centers established in the states. Caging people without enough food, care & treatment is a slave colony and not an Isolation Centre.COVID19 patients have rights that must be respected," the ex-Senator tweeted.
