COVID-19: Our isolation centre is 98% ready - Gov Willie Obiano [Photos]

The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has informed the general public that the state's isolations centre is almost completed.

This is coming as a means to help citizens in the fight against the deadly coronavirus that has infected almost 1 million worldwide with close to 50,000 deaths as of 1:28 pm April 2.

Although Anambra State is yet to record any case of the deadly virus, judging from NCDC's statistic, the state has gone ahead to prepare for the possibility.

As at the time of this article, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control - NCDC has confirmed a total of 174 cases of coronavirus with tow death.

Gov. Obiano's statement on Twitter reads:

"Our 16-bed Isolation Centre at the General Hospital in Onitsha, Anambra State is 98 per cent ready.

"Like other centres at NYSC Orientation Camp, NAUTH in Nnewi & COOUTH in Awka, it'll have all needed equipment on completion.

"Together we can win the war against."
