COVID-19: Kwankwaso gives hospital to Kano State Government

Former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso has given out Amana Hospital to the Kano State Government to aide in the fight against COVID-19.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by Saifullahi Hassan, the media aide to the former governor.

According to Hassan, Amana Hospital which was completed last month and yet to be commissioned is fully equipped with 60-beds capacity and located in Miller Road, Bompai, Kano State.

Meanwhile, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has ordered the deportation of almajiri children to their homes as part of efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

Ganduje made this known on Sunday after receiving a situation report from the state's task force on COVID-19.

He also revealed that an almajiri committee has been set up under the leadership of Murtala Garo, commissioner for local government.
