COVID-19: FrieslandCampina donates 47,500 packs of Peak, Three Crowns milk - FG

The Federal Government of Nigerian has received a donation of 47,500 packs of Peak and Three Crowns milk from FrieslandCampina, makers of the product.

This is coming as Nigeria battles with over 300 cases of coronavirus which has forced major cities into a two-week lockdown that could be extended nationwide.

The products are to be donated to "low-income families to support their nutritional needs" during the pandemic period.

The donation was received by Sadiya Umar Farouq, Honourable Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development, according to to the ministry's official Twitter handle, @FMHDSD.

The statement reads:

"HM, @Sadiya_farouq received the delivery of 47,500 family packs of @PeakMilk and @3CrownsMilk from @FrieslndCampina to the Ministry for distribution to low-income families to support their nutritional needs.

"The HM thanked the company for their support and assured them that the items will be distributed to the intended recipients."
