Leicester City manager, Brendan Roger, has opened up on testing positive for the deadly COVID-19, becoming the second manager in the PL after Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta to contract the virus.

Recall that MyNigeria.com reported that the Premier League was halted around mid-March due to the effects as well as to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

This came a day after MyNigeria.com reported, on March 12, that the Foxes announced that three first-team players(names withheld) had to self-isolate after showing symptoms of coronavirus.

In an interview with BBC radio Leicester, the 47-year-old who has now fully recovered from the virus said he tested positive shortly after the league was suspended becoming the second.

“My wife and I had it [COVID-19] just after the Premier League was suspended.

“One week later, I started to struggle, I had no smell and taste, and it was the same with my wife.

“I could hardly walk, and It reminded me of climbing mountain Kilimanjaro, as you climb higher you get more breathless.

“I went for a run, and I could not do it. I was so weak and had a weird sensation for three weeks of having no taste.”
