10 Lagos government's staff test positive for COVID-19

At least 10 staff of the Lagos State Government have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus, according to the State Health Commissioner, Akin Abayomi.

The governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been confirmed negative during the announcement on Thursday after the staff members associated with the State House in Marina were diagnosed.

Mr. Abayomi's statement on Twitter read, “I am glad to announce that COVID-19 Incident Commander Governor of Lagos State, Babajide c-Olu, and the First Lady, Joke Sanwoolu have consistently tested negative for COVID-19 following three consecutive tests conducted on them recently. t

“However, 10 persons associated with Lagos State House in Marina have tested positive to COVID-19.”

“All directives on easing lockdown in Lagos State remain in force,” Abayomi said.

There are currently 1,308 positive coronavirus cases in the State with 358 recoveries and 30 deaths according to the NCDC's record on Wednesday night.
