Review of Mayorkun's of Lagos

Terrible. Trash. Audio terrorism is what accompanies Mayorkun's of Lagos.

At least for the first one minute. Then the song transforms to some talk about Angeli. What does an Angel have to do with Lagos?

A city that never sleeps will be a better description. Something around the hustle and bustle and maybe something about corona.

Not Shouting "Demola" like he owed you money.

Not many can ride Wizkid's wave. It takes a decade of dropping all-time best seller tracks to equal that feat.

Till date, Africa Facts Zone has described Wizkid's debut Album in 2010, Superstar as the best selling African debut Album.

Followed by Ayo, another best-seller album on iTunes since 2014.

His EP, as I would like to call it (though others think it's an album) Sounds from the Other side is the most streamed album on Spotify.

Many people think "Joro" or "Soco" or Beat by Sarz was mere chanting and believe they can ride the wave.

It's not that easy, Mayorkun. Geng might win "Headies" this year but not "Of Lay, Lay, Lay."

At least not while songs like "Soco," and "Joro" are still ruling the airwaves and slumber parties.

Of Lay deserves 3/10 for no content at all. Not even aesthetics could make the cut.
