Onwuzuruike Adanna Chinyere, an incompetent and criminal aide to the governor of Imo State

Governor Hope Uzodinma no doubt is a good governor and has been doing very well as the governor of Imo state. One naughty and troubling issue of his government is the appointment of some incompetent persons as Senior Special Assistant (SSA’s). Some persons indeed have no business in his cabinet. They are so incompetent and criminal minded. This unfortunately has high level of consequence, affecting the image and integrity of the responsible government of the governor. One of such incompetent and criminal minded persons is Onwuzurike Adanna Chinyere also known as Chantel, who is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Networking.

Appointed as Aide on Networking, she gate crashed her way into the media by forming a group she tagged Hope Networking, recruiting 13 media persons on a monthly stipend for image laundering of the government. With the Hope Networking she collects N5,000,000 ( Five Million Naira )Monthly from the government for the monthly stipends of the media persons and since November last year that she recruited them,, she has refused to pay them. She still collects the said amount monthly. She has always come out with fictitious stories to backup her inability to pay stipends..

There is no fiction that Adanna has not manufactured and published to tarnish the image of notable persons in the state. She is boastful and tells too much lies just to alms twist people to get undue patronage. Her main philosophy is to rubbish and blackmail people to get what she wants, perhaps, due to her greed, avarice and desperation. The former Deputy Governor of Imo State Prince Eze Madumere is her recent unfortunate targets of blackmail and malicious publications.

Adanna is not only inexperienced in public service but is lacking in humility, insensitive and rude to virtually most of the party leaders and officials of government. She is totally clueless about the APC and its internal politics at best as she was neither part of the governor’s formation stage nor a participant in the primaries, campaign and elections.

The governor when he was swearing in his appointees said the primary assignment for the appointees include deepening the policies and achievements of his administration at the grassroot level. He said the government focus is on service. How do we serve our people? How do we get the lives of our people to be better? He said they have been called to serve and not to enrich themselves. Adanna refusing to pay those she employed to serve but cornering five million naira monthly is criminal.

Uzodinma’s government has zero-tolerance for corruption and incompetence. If you are found culpable in acts of corruption and absconding from your duty post or incompetent, we will not hesitate to drop you, the governor said.. He noted that with dwindling national resources, there was need to fully harness the resources in the state, urging the appointees to come up with developmental initiatives that would benefit their wards.
