‘This case will die off after 72 hours’ - More reactions trail Seun Kuti’s arrest

Social media is currently awash with debate following the arrest of Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti by the Lagos State Police command.
The singer’s detention comes on the heels of a video of his assault on a police officer which went viral on social media.
In the video, Seun, son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti was seen slapping a policeman standing beside a police van.
On Saturday, Seun responded to the incident via his Instagram story and claimed that the cop had tried to kill him and his family.
He continued by saying that the cop had expressed regret and been pardoned.
In a recent video that has gone viral on social media, the singer was seen being arrested and handcuffed by the police.
After the emergence of Seun’s arrest video, the news has garnered mixed reactions on social media as many believe that Seun should be punished for attacking a police officer in order to discourage future offenders.
Others, however, believe that the singer won't be penalized due to his personality and caliber and that the case will soon come to a close.
