Wizkid mum laid to rest

Social media users have been outraged by a video showing the late Mrs. Juliana Balogun, the mother of Nigerian musician Wizkid, being led to her final resting place.

The Grammy Award-winning singer tragically lost his mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, on August 18, 2023 in London.

The tragic information was confirmed by Wizkid's manager, Sunday Are.

A few weeks later, Wizkid expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of his mother, stating, “The pain is profound.” It is excruciatingly painful. The most intense ache I’ve ever felt in my life. I’m lost, but I pray that God will console all of us.”

The day after the wake, a video of Mrs. Balogun's remains being brought to their final resting place appeared online, sparking fervent responses.
