Popular Nigerian gospel artiste Victoria Orenze has openly cautioned congregants against using mobile phones to record live ministrations during church worship sessions.

The minister issued the stern warning during a recent live worship performance, expressing disappointment over how modern technology distracts people from spiritual moments.

According to the gospel singer, trying to record every second on camera prevents individuals from receiving genuine spiritual encounters.

"Don't use your phone. I will send you far away from here. Respect the Spirit of God. Everything is about capturing, and yet you will have nothing inside. You want to capture, capture in your heart. Drop those phones. Have an encounter with God," Victoria Orenze warned.

The artiste lamented the obsession of the present generation with phones, questioning why people prioritize digital devices during intimate spiritual moments.

"This generation, we are used to phones. Anything, phones. When you are making love in your room, do you carry phones? You are before the Lord. You don't have issues, when you have issues you don't make videos, you take pictures, you hold on to God," she added.

Her remarks have sparked conversations across social media platforms regarding church etiquette, spiritual focus, and the widespread practice of filming live worship services.
