The family of Nigerian gospel minister Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has officially confirmed his passing.

In a statement posted to the singer’s official TikTok account on Wednesday, October 15, 2026, the family revealed that the head of Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry (TOGOMM) passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, October 14, 2026.

"With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Minister Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry (TOGOMM), who passed away in the early hours of 14 October 2026," the statement read. "Please keep his wife, family, and loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time."

The family added that details regarding funeral arrangements and memorial services will be announced in due course.

The confirmation follows hours of intense social media anxiety and prayers across the gospel music industry.

Earlier, an eyewitness on X, identified as Ennybets, described witnessing the singer's emergency arrival at a local hospital while accompanying his wife for antenatal care.

"I cried about this man’s passing," the eyewitness shared. "The fact that I was seeing over 10 grown men who are his band members, crying heavily in front of me is giving me trauma."

Reacting to the official confirmation, prominent figures across the entertainment and legal sectors paid emotional tributes.

Human rights lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi lamented the recurring loss of young talent, while fellow gospel minister Mega99 described Toluwanisings as an exceptional vocalist whose exit represents a painful loss to the Christian music landscape.

"A rare gem with a unique voice is gone. This life," Mega99 wrote.

While the family did not immediately disclose the medical cause of death, Toluwanisings leaves behind a legacy of high-impact Yoruba worship tracks and energetic live ministrations that resonated widely across West Africa.

Toluwanisings rose to prominent recognition within contemporary Nigerian gospel circles through hit tracks like "Kabiyesi Olorun Ayo" and viral spontaneous live recordings.
