Sharon Adeleke, business executive and daughter of billionaire industrialist Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, has debunked widespread public assumptions regarding the personal wealth and cash liquidity of children born into affluent families, commonly referred to as "nepo babies."

Speaking on a recent episode of The Moraya Show, Sharon—who is also the elder sister of Afrobeats star Davido—clarified that while children from ultra-wealthy backgrounds receive significant structural support, they do not possess unrestricted access to liquid cash as many assume.

"A lot of Nepo babies don’t really have access to cash the way you guys make it seem. They have more than the average person, but they are always on a budget," Sharon explained. "Your school fees are paid, you are given land and properties, but you have to make use of them [to make your own money]."

Beyond addressing wealth misconceptions, Sharon opened up about her professional role in managing her brother Davido's multi-million dollar estate and personal finances.

She revealed that she conducts mandatory weekly financial tracking sessions with the singer to ensure accountability regarding his revenue streams and personal expenditure.

"Me and Davido would sit and have a finance meeting every week because I think it is important for him to know how his money is being spent," she shared, noting that she actively advises him against excessive spending on high-end luxury vehicles.

Her comments follow recent public statements by Davido during a live stream where he disclosed making a landmark $11 million purchase for a custom hypercar scheduled for delivery to Nigeria.
