Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba will be buried in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
This was disclosed in an obituary released by her family on her Instagram page on Monday.
The family announced that Osoba’s body would leave the Ogun State University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, at 9am, while the burial service would hold from 10am to 11am at Akesan Club, opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.
The obituary stated, “Body leaves OSUTH Sagamu by 9am. Burial service Thursday 10th of September, 10:00am–11:00am, Akesan Club opposite Iperu Morning Market, Iperu Remo.”
It added, “Interment: Iperu Remo Cemetery ground, immediately after burial service,” while the dress code was stated as “White.”
Osoba, also known as Tope Osoba, died in early August 2026 at the age of 40.
The Yoruba-language actress and producer had been in the Nigerian film industry for nearly two decades and featured in productions including Oogun Mi.
PUNCH Online had reported that Osoba had publicly battled breast cancer about two years before her death and had sought support for treatment and surgery.
In August 2025, she announced her recovery and return to acting, describing the period as one of healing, rebranding and empowerment.
The circumstances surrounding her death, however, have remained disputed, with conflicting accounts from her fiancé and members of her family.
Her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, claimed that she died after being taken to a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos, while relatives gave a different account of her final hours. PUNCH Online reported that the conflicting accounts had raised questions about the events leading to her death.
Yomi Fabiyi had also called for an investigation and autopsy to establish the circumstances surrounding the actress’ death.
Following her death, the family warned against the circulation of unverified claims about the circumstances surrounding her demise and urged the public and media to rely on information released through its official channels.
Her burial was initially scheduled for August 13 in Iperu Remo but was later postponed indefinitely by the family.
The family has now fixed Thursday, September 10, for her burial.
