Incarcerated music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has seen his projected federal prison release date adjusted once again, bringing him closer to freedom.

According to updated records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the 56-year-old executive is now scheduled for release on February 5, 2028, from the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

The revised timeline shaves more than two weeks off his previously listed projected release date of February 20, 2028.

Combs is currently serving a four-year and two-month (50-month) sentence following his conviction at a landmark 2025 federal trial on two counts of Mann Act transportation for prostitution.

A jury acquitted the music producer on the more severe charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

The projected exit date for the Bad Boy Records founder has undergone multiple shifts since he entered custody, where his initial release date was set for mid-2028.

His time at the low-security Fort Dix facility has not been entirely smooth sailing.

In August, Combs was temporarily placed in solitary confinement following an inmate altercation, which briefly pushed his release date back from late January to late February 2028 before the latest Bureau of Prisons recalculation.

Under the First Step Act, federal inmates who complete approved rehabilitative programs and maintain good behavior can earn financial or time credits that periodically adjust their projected release dates.

Combs was remanded to federal custody following his 2024 arrest and subsequent 2025 conviction.

While prosecutors alleged a broader pattern of coercive misconduct and staged hotel sessions, his criminal conviction was ultimately restricted to prostitution-related transportation offenses.
