Big Brother Naija winner Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney, has ignited a fierce social media debate after publicly criticizing the dating pool among African women living abroad.
In a video posted to his official Instagram page on August 30, 2026, the reality star and businessman began his remarks with a lighthearted apology to his family before voicing his frustration over his recent dating experiences in the United Kingdom and the United States.
"My mother and grandmothers will not be happy with this video, but I have to say it," Whitemoney stated. "Na single mothers I see, women wey don born four with three baby daddies; in the UK, America is even worse. And all their boyfriends are gangsters."
Dismissing the idea of seeking a romantic partner overseas, the BBNaija star declared that he would rather return home and date women in Lagos, downplaying local cosmetic surgery trends compared to the baggage he claims to have encountered abroad.
"I’d rather manage my Lagos girls," he added. "At least na BBL dem do, dem no kill person."
Whitemoney rose to national fame after winning Season 6 (Shine Ya Eye) of the Big Brother Naija reality franchise in 2021, later expanding into music, hospitality, and business investments.
