American rapper Cardi B has broken her silence amid growing speculation about her relationship with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, saying her personal life receives far more public attention than that of other celebrities.

The Grammy-winning rapper spoke in a video shared on her Instagram Story on Monday, days after she and the Udinese goalkeeper were spotted having dinner together in Venice, Italy.

“No cap, I’m really hip hop’s Britney Spears,” Cardi B said, suggesting that intense public scrutiny follows her every move.

She claimed that while she knew “all the tea” about many celebrities, the media rarely reported on their private lives.

“I got all the tea on these celebrities… I know who’s with who and what’s doing what. But guess what? Nobody reports about it. You want to know why? Because nobody cares,” she said.

Cardi B, however, lamented that the situation was different for her, saying even ordinary aspects of her life quickly become public discussion.

"But when it comes to me… I can’t even… do anything without people talking about it. This is crazy,” she said.


Despite the attention, the rapper said she had come to accept the reality of life in the spotlight.

“You’ve got to take the good with the bad. It is what it is. People pay for this type of talk,” she added.

Cardi B’s remarks come after she and Okoye fuelled fresh dating rumours when they were seen dining together with friends at Gio’s Restaurant inside the St. Regis Hotel in Venice, Italy. The pair had also attracted attention weeks earlier after appearing together at the Jean Paul Gaultier Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture Show during Paris Fashion Week.

Meanwhile, Okoye’s former partner and the mother of his child, Dutch model Jelicia Westhoff, recently accused the Super Eagles goalkeeper of domestic abuse, infidelity and parental neglect in a series of Instagram posts. Okoye has yet to respond publicly to the allegations.
