The reality TV star shared her thoughts in a video, where she looked back on her younger years and admitted that she once struggled to understand why some women, including her aunts, were still single in their early 30s.
Phyna explained that when she was in her early 20s, turning 29 seemed like a distant reality. However, reaching that age has made her see things differently.
“I’m just thinking out loud. I remember when I was 22, 23 then, you know, 29 was so far away, but now this is 29 and everything is just dawning on me,” she said.
Reflecting on her past opinions, the reality star recalled how she would often question her aunts about their marital status, assuming there was something wrong because they were unmarried.
“I remember that time all those my aunties that were like in their early 30s that they are not married. I’d be like, ‘Auntie, you no go marry? Auntie, you no marry?’ Like then it was looking like the auntie get problem,” she recounted.
However, Phyna said growing older has helped her understand that being unmarried at that age does not mean a person has any issues.
She added that her previous assumptions about her aunts were misplaced and that she now appreciates their choices better.
“Guys. Guys. We sef don dey touch am o. Auntie no get problem. I swear. Our aunties, they did have problem. No single problem,” she stated.
