Singer Omoniyi Temidayo popularly known as Zlatan Ibile has announced plans to return to his alma mater, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, for a free concert and the unveiling of a new music studio.
The event, tagged Homecoming, is scheduled for July 1, 2026, at the MAPOLY Sports Centre in Ogun State.
According to the announcement on Instagram, the concert will be open to students at no cost and will mark the artist’s first major campus show for the year.
Zlatan described MAPOLY as the institution that shaped him before he gained national recognition.
He said the visit is intended as both a performance and a celebration with the student community where his career began.
Zlatan wrote, “MAPOLY JULY 1st!!! MAPOLY made me before the world knew my name. Same ground, same dream, same hunger that carried me everywhere. Now I’m coming back home. Not just to perform for you, but to celebrate with you.
“A free show for my people. The place where it all started. Symbol Of Hope HOMECOMING. Mapoly Sport Center, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ogun State”.
Recall that Zlatan attended MAPOLY in the early 2010s, studying at the polytechnic before music took over.
It was on the same campus that he first built a following, performing at school events, freestyling with peers, and developing the energetic, street-influenced sound that later earned him national recognition.
