Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has spoken out against online bullying directed at her 15-year-old brother after a Snapchat video of them was reposted across platforms and used to mock him.

In a statement on X, Baci said she never expected a lighthearted clip with her brother to be taken from her Snapchat and circulated widely, leading to cruel comments and edited photos aimed at making him look bigger for laughs.

She criticised adults who altered images of a minor and publicly ridiculed him, stressing that her brother did nothing except appear in a funny video with her.

Baci described her brother as kind and loved, adding that hateful remarks or edited photos would not change who he is.

She urged users to remember that a real CAteenager is reading their comments and called on people to do better.

Baci wrote, “I never imagined that a lighthearted video with my 15-year old brother would be taken from my Snapchat, reposted across different platforms, and turned into an excuse to bully a child.

“Some of you have left cruel comments. Others have gone as far as editing his photos to make him look bigger just to get a few laughs.

“Adults are editing the image of a 15 year old boy and publicly mocking him.

“My brother did nothing except exist in a funny video with his sister.

“If your idea of entertainment is tearing down a child, then that’s a reflection of your character, not his.

“He’s kind. He’s loved. He’s growing, learning, and becoming the amazing young man I know he will be. No hateful comment or edited photo will ever change that.

“I hope, before you type another insult or share another edited image, you remember that there is a real teenager on the other side of your screen reading what you write. Do better.”
