Comedian Ayo Makun has paid tribute to actor Alex Ekubo at a Service of Songs held on Wednesday night, describing the event as a powerful reminder that tomorrow is not promised.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, AY said the ceremony was filled with love, reflection, and heartfelt tributes.

He noted that the large turnout showed the impact Ekubo made and the lives he touched.

“Last night was a powerful reminder that no one is promised tomorrow. The Service of Songs for @alexxekubo was filled with love, reflection and heartfelt tributes. The turnout alone spoke volumes about the impact he made and the lives he touched”, he wrote.

AY said one lesson that stood out from the messages shared was, ‘life is too short for grudges, bitterness, and unresolved differences’

He urged people to love more, forgive more, and cherish those around them while they still can.

He described saying goodbye as difficult but said seeing how much Alex was loved brought comfort.

“Listening to the messages shared, one lesson stood out clearly: life is too short for grudges, bitterness and unresolved differences. We must learn to love more, forgive more and cherish the people around us while we still can.

“Saying goodbye was difficult, but seeing how much Alex was loved brought comfort to many of us”, he added.

AY added that family and friends will gather in Arochukwu in a few days to accompany Ekubo on his final journey home.

“In a few days, we will gather again in Arochukwu to accompany our brother on his final journey home.

“Rest well, Alex. Your memories, your laughter and your legacy will remain with us forever”, he wrote.
